field trip

my class and i went to firecracker press yesterday for a field trip. i love visiting letter press shops. they were wonderful. they demonstrated three of their presses, gave us a history lesson and much more. did you know that most of the wooden type came from wisconsin. apparently we have the best trees for type. of course we do. here are some pics:
